Freedom Air Flights

Since the 27th May 2013 Freedom Air has been offering flights between Johannesburg (Grand Central), Newcastle, Durban (Virginia) and Venetia Mine.

Flight specials

Unless it's the morning of the date of the flight special, it's likely that airfares have changed.

• 16 July 2013. From R1480* for a 1-way flight from Grand Central to Newcastle.

• 28 May 2013. R999* flight special from Johannesburg Grand Central to Venetia Mine.

• 15 May 2013. Freedom Air advertised a launch special. From R999* from Johannesburg Grand Central to Newcastle, and from R999 from Grand Central to Venetia Mine.

• 7 May 2013. Freedom Air advertised standard 1-way airfares (may have changed by the time you read this!) of R1480* from Grand Central to Newcastle, R1250* from Newcastle to Virginia & R1844* from Grand Central to Venetia Mine.

*FARE CONDITIONS
• All fares exclude VAT per person one way.
• 'No Show' passengers will be penalised 100%. No refunds.
STANDARD FARE CONDITIONS:
• 10% will be credited if change or cancellation is made within 24hours.
• 50% will be credited if change or cancellation is made between 24 & 48 hours before departure.
CHANGE FARE CONDITIONS:
• R250 Admin fee per flight will be charged for any changes and cancellations from 48hrs before departure.
* IMPORTANT INFORMATION (TERMS AND CONDITIONS)
• Check-in opens 60 mins before your flight and closes 20 minutes before take off. Please remember to bring
your driver's licence/ID document/Passport with you when you check in.
• We will start boarding 20 minutes before take off. If you are late, we won't wait!
• If you missed your flight, we can't change your booking. Our tickets are non-refundable and only future
dated bookings can be changed.
• Only one bag per person will be allowed on board the aircraft. It must be 5kg or lighter and be smaller than
115 cm(L+W+H)
• In addition, ladies handbags, briefcases, laptop bags, vanity cases and other small personal items can be
taken on board.
• Your allowed checked baggage can weigh up to 15kg and this is for free.
• Anything over this weight is charged as excess baggage. Any additional baggage checked-in over the
allowance of 15kg will cost an additional R25 per kg at the airport and should be arranged in advance.
