Not owned by Intercity Xpress

Social media was abuzz with speculation that Imperial Lane was owned by Intercity Xpress after this Facebook postr: "It is fascinating to learn that Imperial Lane is owned by Intercity Eagle Liner (my analysis) . I am presently on Intercity to Durban and I observed that the seat covers are for Imperial Lane. The business space is exceptional." Imperial Lane themselves replied to correct matters: "Imperial Lane wed like to correct you in that Imperial lane is not owned by intercity. We'd also like to thank you for helping us find our missing headrests. Each new bus we purchase comes with 2 sets and our number 7 came with 1 set. Irizar has been trying to find the other set for us for a while. We've made them aware that the mystery has been solved and shared your video and they'll be contacting intercity. Intercity Xpress & EagleLiner thank you for the free advertising on your buses."

Coincidentally, this rumour occurred just before Intercity Xpress Zimbabwe bus trips were about to be restarted on 27 June 2025 (Eagle Liner and Intercity Xpress are essentially the same entity).
