Paarl accommodation
Paarl is situated about an hour's drive from Cape Town, next to the N1 National Road. For a bit of adventure try the scramble up Paarl Rock (a massive granite outcrop), and for some culture visit the Language Monument. On the outskirts of Paarl is Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela spent his last years in captivity, and from where his walk to freedom began.
