Cruises with Balcony
Balcony cabins are particularly attractive on the longer cruises and when cruising with family.
MSC Opera Balcony Cruise
We arrived at the harbour, along with hundreds of other passengers, and here we waited for almost an eternity. We got to the front of the queue, and now the butterflies were almost flying out of my mouth in excitement. We received our boarding passes, and emergency drill cards, and now the fun was to begin! We passed through N Shed, with photos being taken, and our passports stamped, and now we would board the MSC Opera, at LOOOONG last. We boarded the MSC Opera, and headed up to the top deck to see what we could see, and to start our cruise officially. Our cabin was breath taking, but the bathroom was rather small (which is understandable).
We had a cabin with our own balcony, and the view was out of this world.
The staff on board the Opera were amazing. They are friendly, helpful and very efficient with everything they do. Every area of the ship (where passengers are allowed) was constantly kept clean, even the brass on the stairs on the upper decks. Food on board is amazing. There is truly something to suit every ones taste, from the plain and ordinary, to the unique and extraordinary. I must say, the best for me, was the midnight tropical buffet that was excellently executed by the staff, from bread baked to look like a male lion, to the watermelon sculptures, and amazing fish ice sculpture. The kitchen staff did very well, and must be commended on excellent meals prepared. Well done guys and keep up the excellent standards. Unfortunately the sea conditions did not allow us to disembark at the Portuguese Island, but the entertainment crew did their utmost to keep passengers of all ages busy for the day. In general, and on an overall note, cruising, (no matter how long and where to) is a definite must for any person to do at least once in a life time.
