Heart 104.9 FM's Cruise

“Cape Town’s beat” wants to take you on a beat-cruise by teaming-up with MSC Starlight once again, this time on the cruise to Lüderitz, Namibia from the 10th to the 14th of December 2012.

Going by their previous gig on the MSC Melody which had the theme“Sun, sea & all that jazz!” which featured popular Capetonian jazz crooners Airborne, we can only expect something just as heart warming from Heart 104.9 FM. Passengers on that cruise were said to have got jazzed-up by the acts that were on the program, and we can only look forward to the same this time around.

If you are keen on joining in on the fun with Heart 104.9 FM from the 10th to the 14th of December on board the MSC Sinfonia this time how about considering one of the following flight, accommodation & cruise packages:

Blast from the past - our 2009 visit to the Westin Grand in Cape Town

Here's some footage of the first Mango WiFi enabled flight.

The Leopard Beach Resort & Spa in Kenya is reopening on the 29th June 2012.

Diaz Beach Hotel's owner, SD Commerical Holdings was placed under liquidation on the 11th May 2012. Petru Terblance, of Mossel Bay Tourism, says that “The liquidator is managing the property and all bookings will be honoured.”

SouthAfrica.TO hasn't reviewed the Diaz Beach Hotel before, but we had a fine time at The Point Hotel when we were there earlier this year (it's adjacent to an awesome tidal pool, as well as to the cliff walk).

The Purple shall rule! Kobus left a message about lost luggage on Turkish Airlines: "I have experienced some lost luggage now on 3 occasions, either myself or one of my colleagues, flying between Johannesburg and Pristina, via Istanbul.....in one of the instances, the luggage has never been found, it is one year down the line now.
In the second instance, my friend went to visit South Africa for a couple of days, and bought some nice souvenirs and presents for her family. Upon her arrival in Pristina, she found her luggage to be lost, as probably expected, with large amounts of money's worth of souvenirs, and the memories all with it.  No amount of money in compensation will or can ever replace these items.....We are so disgusted by the pathetic service.....need I say more?  There are no more words in my vocabulary!"

The Bottom Line: "Unlike the court case & trade-union opposition to e-tolling where the 'user pays' principle was challenged, there has been no consumer uproar at the rapid rise in airport taxes to fund the development of ACSA infrastructure." Finweek
