Here's our first look at 2013 car rental rates. We find folk tend to focus far more on getting cheap flights prices, but keeping car rental prices down also helps a lot in ensuring holiday costs don't get out of control.

Hopefully we'll be back to exploring London's magical streets soon! South Africa is currently on the UK's Red List, which means only British nationals are allowed to travel from South Africa to the UK and then they have to complete 10 days quarantine in a hotel. There are no direct flights connecting South Africa to the UK currently.

The Purple shall rule! (Buying fish at Kalk Bay Harbour is) "such a unique Cape Town experience. Unique with colourful people. I was standing there once when a posh english speaking dude arrived with two Americans. When the dude left to get some money the fish cleaners were cutting small pieces of his tuna and ate it as they cleaned the fish - while the Americans looked on. They were jabbing away in Afrikaans making fun - in a good way - of the non comprehending Americans. They even staged a mock fight with knives. The American thought this was for real. Amazing good laugh if you hang around." Johan
