Rating 4/ 5: In January this year I took my first flight to Cape Town. As a Dad I was very excited to visit my eldest daughter who works in Cape Town. I went on line and booked 2 return tickets from Durban to Cape Town. The online booking procedure was very user friendly and the entire process was hassle free. I found it very easy to use and pay with my credit card. Our return flight was scheduled for 9 Jan 2014 (JE 352) - departure at 18H00. An hour before the flight we received an SMS to inform us that the flight would be delayed by an hour. The online check-in process ensured that I did not have to wait in long queue's at the airport. We delayed our departure to the airport by an hour. Upon arrival at the airport my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when the ground staff presented us with a food voucher for R50 each. While having something to eat and drink we were informed that the flight had been further delayed. Eventually. Mango re-routed an aircraft from Johannesburg to fly us to Durban. Once on board the aircraft the cabin crew apologised profusely for the flight delay. Upon landing in Durban the Captain once again apologised for the delay in the flight. We were satisfied with the apology and the tone and mannerism of the crew. Much to our surprise 4 days later we received 2 discount vouchers from Mango which was transferable and which was valid for 3 months. Mango was not obliged to do this , they went over and above the call of duty. We were overjoyed , this meant that father and daughter could be re-united yet again. My daughter arrives on Saturday.
