Mango Happy Day Deals

Jip, we're not imagining it, it definitely seems like Mango sales have switched to Wednesdays, as this is the 4th week in a row. The Mango Happy Day sale runs from 9am on the 5th March 2014 to 9pm on the 6th March 2014. SAA Voyager members, bear in mind that you can use your Voyager miles to pay for the base fares (one of our 22 travel predictions for 2014 was the increased popularity of using SAA Voyager miles to pay for Mango flights).

Present Credit Cards or you Can't Fly

If you have booked to fly Mango, you'll want to read this next sentence very carefully : Because credit card fraud has soared, all travellers must show the credit card or debit card which was used to purchase the flight, at the point of checking in. If you can't do that, or show a verifiable copy of the credit card, then you wont be able to fly.

Cheapest 1- way airfares

Here's are the cheapest 1-way airfares which are part of today's Mango sale today. *Note that it's possible for all airfares listed below to have changed, both as a result of the limited number of seats on sale running out, or because of human error (yeah, we haven't made a mistake for a while, but we'll own up and say that it does sometimes happen). In the brackets after the flight prices, there's a comparison against last week's Mango special. There was very very limited availability of the fares below on very few days in March and April (we're talking literally 1 or 2 days when we checked).

If you haven't been keeping an eye out on flight specials for a while, then you'll see that airfares are a bit higher than they used to be. This is the inevitable result of airlines' cost base having increased as a result of Rand depreciation (it increases fuel costs and USD denominated maintenance costs).
