The Bottom Line:
South Africa is becoming a lot like Denmark & Switzerland (at least in terms of the cost of living).

Given that we may have the most expensive (sea) port in the world, the next logical step is to ensure we have the most expensive air-ports. At one point electricity prices had fallen dramatically behind the rest of the world, and Eskom are hard at work getting us ahead of the pack (so that rail costs are world beaters), but no matter how high rail costs go we will ensure that road travel is more expensive by the addition of toll road systems (I wonder why the taxes on petrol aren't sufficient to cover road costs).
