Lost in translation in Barcelona: Our little one was running a fever, so we phoned hotel reception asking for a Doctor. They asked what room we were, and 5 minutes later brought us an adaptor plug!

Velvet Sky flying to Polokwane

It's great to see that Velvet Sky are now flying to Polokwane, a totally underserviced route. The route begins on 30 September with a flight from Johannesburg to Polokwane at 07h30, currently costing R776. The only other airline flying the route is Airlink, who currently charge R1499 (they're going to have to bring their prices down a lot to remain viable!).

Johannesburg to Polokwane

Flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (leaving Joburg at 07h30 and 17h20) and Sundays (leaving Joburg at 17h20).

Polokwane to Johannesburg

Flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (leaving Polokwane at 09h05 and 18h35) and Sundays (leaving Joburg at 18h35).

Makes sense

Currently a lot of people drive from Polokwane to Johannesburg to fly to, for example Cape Town, as a the cost of a flight from Polokwane to Joburg is too expensive. This route could make a lot of sense.
