Do not be misled by the fact that Crystal Cruises (or more formally "Crystal Cruise Lines" is based in Los Angeles, as it offers many cruise options in the Mediterranean. With one of the highest staff to passenger ratios in the industry, Crystal Cruises offers the ultimate in luxury cruising (and expect to pay for it!). The company was launched in 1988 by Nippon Yusen Kaishan, a Japanese shipping company; who sold it to Genting Hong Kong in 2015 (Genting Hong Kong is a large shareholder in the Norwegian Cruise Lind, and the owner of Star Cruises). The Crystal Esprit is based in Venice for much of the year, and offers 7 night cruises alterntively from Venice to Rovini, Sibenik, Trogir, Hvar, Vis, Korcula and Dubrovnik; or in the other direction from Dubrovnik to Venice.
Crystal Cruises' ships include the Crystal Harmony (its first ship, bought in 1990) and the Crystal Esprit, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.
