Tempest Travel Tips

Make a New Year’s resolution to take extra care on the roads. Especially as there is plenty of construction and development on SA Roads at the moment. Some of the main hot spots are:

  • Most Gauteng Motorways
  • N17 East Springs to Oshoek
  • N2 (Wildcoast Toll Project)
  • N2 (Knysna Toll Highway)
  • N1 & N2 (Winelands Project)
  • N1 – N27 Polokwane Eastern Ring Road
  • R300 Project

Remember to drive safely as these are high accident zones!
And of course, don’t forget: Always wear your seatbelt, don’t drink and drive and pay careful attention to speed limits.

Tempest is Getting Tough!

Tempest Car Hire is a proud sponsor of  Mark Crookes, one of the world’s strongest men – he holds  19 world records and 2 Guinness Book of World Records for pulling 16 trucks (178.2 tons) and for pulling a Boeing 747 aeroplane (362 tons) - don’t you wish you could do that?

Mark is currently in South Africa to attempt yet another world record with Ripley’s, and if he does it, he will be the world’s strongest man!  Go on Mark – we’re pulling for you!
