Some brief comments about our Imperial Car Rental. We hired a group A vehicle from Imperial Car Rental at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport from the 24th to the 28th Dec 2008.
Kulula & Imperial Car Rental market each other's products, and we got a good deal by booking our car together with our Kulula flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg.
We got what we paid for, as the VW Chico is very much an entry level vehicle (I would have preferred a Kia Picanto, which is in the same group, but the Chico has more boot space). I'm used to driving a Toyota Corolla at home, and found that I had to push down hard on the breaks of the Chico to get the car to stop in time. We flew up to Johannesburg with our baby's car seat, but found it didn't tighten onto the back seat of the Chico as well as it does on the Corolla.
On returning the vehicle, we were promptly greeted and could get away quickly to the airport's check-in counters. Overall a good job from Imperial.
