Johannesburg First Car Rental

We were very impressed with the service we got from First Car Rental when we last reviewed them, so we were chomping at the bit to use their services again on the 24th July 2009. I'm happy to say that once again, not only were they offering the best price for unlimited mileage car rentals, but also top-drawer service. This week's service hero was Kaizer who packed all our bags for us (see photo below) - First Car Rental, please take care of this man.

Kaizer from First Car Rental, Johannesburg, South Africa

Toyota Corolla 1.4l

We decided not to go for the very cheapest car rental, instead paying First Car Rental a bit more for a Toyota Corolla 1.4l. We drove it from Johannesburg Airport to Midrand to Nelspruit and onwards to White River's Pine Lake Chalets. The vehicle gave a very comfortable ride, although on the uphills when fully loaded it struggled a bit.

Moved to second floor

First Car Rental have moved up to the second floor. When we got back to Johannesburg Airport we didn't see the new (tiny) First Car Rental sign and went as usual to the first floor (only Budget Car Rental & Avis South Africa are there).

Cost

It cost us R1832 to rent the Corolloa for 8 days (R229 a day) with unlimited mileage.
