On the 23rd of March 2020 South African president Cyril Ramaphosa announced a national lockdown in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19. This 21 day lockdown will start at midnight on the 26th of March 2020. The non-essential movement of South Africans will be prohibited.
As a result, no bus services will be available during this time. If you have already purchased a ticket for travel between 26 March and 16 April 2020, then you should change your travel date or request a refund if possible.
Each bus operator has their own rules regarding changes, cancellations and refunds during this time.
President Ramaphosa has advised that everyone currently residing in a city should please remain in the city during the lockdown, to prevent the spread of the disease to rural areas where health care facilities will be even more strained.
Please contact the bus carrier to find out whether a refund is possible or for assistance with a date change. Below are all their relevant contact details.
