The Cape Town Cycle Tour, previously known as the Cape Argus, is the world's largest individually timed cycling race attracting over 35 000 participants from all over the world. The gruelling 109 km covers the prettiest parts of Cape Town, with Table Mountain dominating large parts of the route.

The 40th Cycle Tour will take place on the 12th of March 2017 at the height of summer. Contestants will not only battle the fierce winding route, but also the extreme winds and heat that is typical this time of year.

Due to the large number of contestants making use of domestic fligts, special arrangements have to be made by the airlines to transport everyone's bicycles. It is important to take note of these. It is also worth noting that you will have to fly your bicycle down a few days before you depart, which means there might not be chance for a last training session the week before.

Prices aren't as high as it has been in previous years, but that is sure to change soon. So as always - don't delays, book today!
