This week, we compared the prices of travel from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Kulula offered the cheapest flight to Cape Town that we found with boarding at Lanseria Airport proving to be cheaper than boarding at OR Tambo Airport. The most affordable land option between these two cities was with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train. For those who prefer travelling by coach, be sure to check City to City's prices as they offered the cheapest bus trip prices when we checked. Please note that all prices will change. If you would like to rent a vehicle during your stay in Cape Town, book with First Car Rental who offered the cheapest rates for a weekend's car rental (prices could change).
