Pet lovers who find themselves in Johannesburg for the weekend of the 19th of July 2013, should make their way to the Gallagher Convention Centre for the World of Dogs and Cats (WODAC) Pet Expo. At this year's expo, visitors can look forward to the hall of cats and dogs, birds, fish as well as exotic pets and reptiles. The National Cat Show will have the full range of cat breeds on show for all to see and the Magic of Horses show will have a programme full of activities especially for horse lovers. Other attractions include the Dogs of the World Parade, Dog Carting, Dancing with Dogs SA Champs as well as many stands run by stores, welfare organisations and breeders.
Cape Town to Johannesburg travel prices
In this week's survey, Mango offered the best rates for flights from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Arriving at Lanseria Airport was the cheapest option for both Mango and Kulula flights when we checked (please note that all prices may change). Shosholoza Meyl's fares have increased by 6% since the last survey done on this route, but the bus fares have remained fairly constant. For those looking for car hire in Johannesburg, Car Trawler offered the most affordable rates for the weekend's rental.

Car Trawler cheapest in Johannesburg
We compared the prices of car rental from Johannesburg Airport and found Car Trawler to offer the best rates for rental from 21h00 on Friday the 19th of July 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 21st of July 2013. A Kia Picanto or similar was R341 for the weekend's rental when we checked. Please note that prices may change.
