This week we surveyed travel prices on the Cape Town to Durban route. We found Mango to offer the cheapest flights with a one way flight at R1 259 per person (prices will change). Shosholoza Meyl has now removed their direct train service from Cape Town to Durban, meaning that passengers will have to take the economy or tourist class train via Johannesburg to get to Durban. City to City offered the most affordable fares with a one way bus trip costing R400 per person (prices will change).

Car Trawler cheapest at King Shaka

We compared the rates of renting a car at King Shaka Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 11st of March 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 3rd of March 2013. Car Trawler displayed the cheapest rates for the weekend's rental with a Kia Picanto or similar at R340 (R170 per day). (Prices can change).
