The FNB Whisky Live Festival takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 7th to the 9th of November 2012. Whiskies from all over the world will be showcased and visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to taste and experience a variety of these. Workshops will be held, where whisky lovers can learn about the whisky distilling process of each variety of whisky. The festival will appeal to whisky connoisseurs as well as the first time whisky drinker. Tickets are on sale from R195 per person, including 12 whisky tasting vouchers, a tasting glass, a copy of the SA Whisky Handbook 2013, a bottle of water, a R15 discount voucher for purchases as well as a R10 food voucher.
Be sure to check Mango's rates when booking your flights to Johannesburg for the festival. Mango offered the cheapest airfares from Cape Town to Johannesburg's Lanseria Airport at R695 for a one way flight (prices will change). Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train offered the cheapest option for travel between the two cities. Car Trawler showed the best rates for car rental in Johannesburg for the weekend of the festival. Ensure you check Car Trawler for the cheapest car rental in Johannesburg. We priced the cost of renting a car from OR Tambo International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 9th of November 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 11th of November 2012. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar at R335 for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
