ACSA's rude words

ACSA FUWelcome to South Africa : "F&&& You"

ACSA, in common with other monopolies, speak a lot about customer service but their actions demonstrate the contempt they have for their customers. In the last week, staff of this couldn't-care-less organisation changed the welcome boards at OR Tambo Airport (for international tourists) to spell out "F&&& You".

This goes one worse than the sign ACSA have long had welcoming people at OR Tambo Airport to South Africa: "Enter at your own risk".

"Apartheid pilot" moving to China

A 50+ "apartheid pilot" from the South African Air Force finds himself unwanted in South Africa, and is leaving for Shenzhen (China) to work for Jade Airline.

New flight routes

In our never-ending quest for completion, we are now covering flight reservations from Johannesburg to Bangkok and flights from Johannesburg to Lisbon. If you're looking for meditteranean Africa with its ancient Roman history, try a flight from Johannesburg to Tunis (Tunisia) or fly from Johannesburg to Tripoli . For USA beach fun catch a flight from Johannesburg to Miami (Capetonians, don't feel left out, here's where to make a flight booking from Cape Town to Miami). As an alternative to Miami beach, try a flight from Johannesburg to the Maldives (no direct flights, but try an Emirates flight). If you prefer the icy weather and snow of the French Alps, try a flight from Johannesburg to Geneva (then take a train or bus to Courchevel).

We raped the f$%#k$s

A Life in Full Flight
"We raped the f@#k$rs!" - Michael O'Leary's (the man who makes Ryanair flights happen) exclamation after securing a deal to purchase a 100 new Boeing 737-800 jets and an option for 50 more for $28 million a plane - as expressed in Alan Ruddock's book, "A Life in Full Fligh: The story of the man who made Ryanair take off". When asked how he felt about the 'rape', Boeing's vice president in charge of sales replied, "We enjoyed the experience".
