Expensive flight prices

With demand far outstripping supply, the Johannesburg - Luanda flight route is like a pot of gold for airlines, but very expensive for travellers. The problem is that the Angolan government jealously protects its airspace, restricting the ability of foreign airliners to operate flights to Luanda. 1time airline has indicated that it wants to operate flights to Luanda, but that the bilateral agreement between the Angolan and South African governments prevents it from doing so: "When the bilateral was amended earlier this year to add additional flights, the Air Service Licensing Council handed those to SAA without offering it to other airlines," said Glen Orsmond of 1time airline.
