Attractions

  • Puerto Madero is Ideal for water side walks, and some retail therapy at the shops and restaurants.

  • A major tourist attraction is the district of San Telmo that has a huge Sunday market in the Plaza Dorrengo. You will find many restaurants, shops and hotels in the area that draw locals and tourists because of the delicious local cuisine and wares that are abundant within the locality. It is also a popular nightspot.

  • Palermo is home to exclusive restaurants and city parks. Shoppers will be happy to venture into the El Solar shopping mall and walk through the streets of Alto Palermo and Avenida Santa Fe. The area is well known for its cinemas, foods and shops.

  • Flora and fauna will be found in the Botanical Gardens known as Jardin Botanica by the locals - home to a 19th century Glasshouse and various species of attractive flowers. It is a wonderful spot for long walks. Right next to this locality are golf courses, polo fields and the Palermo Lakes.

  • The Recoleta district is a popular attraction because it is home to the rich and famous, housing a cemetery that includes the grave of Eva Peron.  Many tombs are elaborately designed and it is freaky to note that it has been built on a marshland that could result in graves being washed away.

  • The National Arts Museum is located in the Recoleta district.
