Flights from Port Elizabeth to Bloemfontein
Airlink reintroduced flights from Port Elizabeth to Bloemfontein on the 5th September 2011, but they subsequently stopped them again. Flights were twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, scheduled to leave PLZ at 09h15 and arrive in Bloem at 10h45.
Luckily FlyCemair swept in with flights between PE and Bloemfontein starting on the 4th of October 2016. They will offer return flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Overland
It is 702km From Europcar at PLZ to Europcar at BFN, and takes about 8 hours to drive the route (along the R75, N9 and N1). Along the way you pass Despatch, Uitenhage, Citruslandgoed Game Farm, Schuilpatdop Game Farm, Brakkefontein Game Farm, Blaawbosch Game Farm, Jansenville, Samara Private Game Reserve, Graaff Reinet, Rupert Game Farm, Middelburg, Noupoort, Colesberg, Springfontein, Trompsburg, Edenburg, Tierpoort Dam and Kolbe.
