In economy class passengers are permitted to check in 1 bag weighing up to 23 kilograms, in business class 2 bags up to 32 kilograms each, and in first class 3 bags weighing up to 32 kilograms each.

• 13 August 2013. Rating 5/5 : Flying LUFTHANSA and IBERIA Buiness Class was a unique experience! The interesting thing though, was that the service we experienced going TO Frankfurt and Madrid respectively could in no way be compared with the superior service experienced on our return from those 2 locations! In both cases the INCOMING flights were FAR superior to the leaving flights- and it really was a fantastic experience. Perhaps the 'holiday' the crew experience while resting in Johannesburg, puts them in a holiday mood? Anonymous

• 13 May 2013. Rating 4/5 : Natasha flew from Johannesburg to Athens with Lufthansa, and enjoyed the space and movie facilities on the big A380. She went through customs at Frankfurt (as her first point of entry into the EU) and then changed onto a smaller plane to Athens (no need to go through customs there again). Lufthansa from JHB to Frankfurt is rated 5. Smaller plane on Lufthansa to Athens is rated 3 – there was a dog on the plane whining the whole way, very bizarre.
