  • 30 Sep 2015: British Airways has announced that they will reduce Cape Town-London flights during the South African winter from the 27th of March 2016. Flights will be reduced from 9 weekly flights to 7 per week.

  • 15 Sep 2014 : British Airways will increase their flights from London to Cape Town to twice daily, or 14 flights a week from the 27th of March until the 29th of April 2015. Thereafter they will offer 9 flights weekly.

  • April 2014 : Here's the spot we all aspire to hang out at - BA has opened up a new, larger, executive club lounge at Cape Town International Airport. The lounge offers free wifi & has 2 bathrooms with showers in them (perfect for refreshing oneself, before a long flight back to London).

  • 8 Feb 2014 : A British Airways A380 does a fly-by of Table Mountain (actually 2). The airline is starting A380 flights from London to Johannesburg (not Cape Town), but wants to have an iconic symbol in the background of their photos, so popped down to Cape Town to have this photo taken. Previously the A380 had also flown to Durban to test drive the emergency stop there (becoming the biggest plane ever to land at King Shaka International Airport).

  • Summer 2013/2014 : British Airways flights from London to Cape Town are increased to double-daily.
