White River is a small town situated just north of Nelspruit in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. It is predominantly a farming (tropical and citrus fruits, vegetables, cut flowers & timber) and tourism centre in close proximity to the Blyde River Canyon and Kruger National Park.
After the South African War, the British demarcated land on the Emanzimhlope River, and Emanzimhlope is Swazi for White Waters (hence the name, "White River")
