FlySafair are giving us the ultimate domestic flights sale with one-way flights from only R2! Yes you read that right! This sale is available today only on selected flights between the 23rd of June and 30th of September 2016. Following the massive success of last year's R1 sale, we can only imagine that this will be equally successful. Please note that this sale is exclusively available on FlySafair's website.
Sale flights will be available on selected dates on all routes. You're more likely to find R2 flights midweek than over weekends and busy travel periods, like the first and last day of the school holiday. There are 15 000 R2 tickets available on all routes, for one day only. The sale ends at midnight on the 23rd of June 2016 or when all 15 000 tickets have sold out, whichever is first.R2 tickets include airport taxes, but add-ons like checked baggage and priority boarding is still charged additionally.
Last year the sale lead to their website crashing and subsequently the sale was extended, but this year they have upped their game. They are making use of an online queueing system which should help alleviate stress on their servers. You'll have to confirm that you are not a robot to access their site and might have to wait in an online queue depending on how many visitors they have on their site.
Similar to last year, it pays to be patient and if you don't succeed at first - try again! However don't expect this sale to be extended, book now before it is too late!
"I was one of the fortunate ones who managed to snag FlySafair's R1 tickets, in a really magical turn of events.??I got home, got busy and only later checked the airline's website. Idly, I punched in dates but was unsuccessful. In between, the site was having technical issues and I had to keep trying again. Then I decided, on a moment of inspiration to enter the date of my dad's birthday, 4 November, hoping that I at least get to see him this year, as he is in Durban and I am in Jbg. Lo and behold, my date processed right through to final payment... when it crashed! In a panic I called the airline call centre and was told: yes, you got it! I could not believe my good fortune and could only thank God that I could see my dad turn 78 years old!
That 4th November, I surprised my dad, who was immeasurably touched. You see, he is also recovering from serious illness. FlySafair made it possible for us to make memories to treasure and I will never forget that.??
