Winter Ballooning for the win!

One of the best things to do during winter is to  go hot air ballooning. The Gauteng areas of krugersdorp and Muldersdrift offer the best hot air ballooning climate and deals in South Africa; typically the weather in this area is far better in winter, with frequent crisp and clear days.

Hot air balloon flights take place very early in the morning, to avoid the wiind created by the air heating up when the sun rises. The sun rises earlier in summer than in winter, meaning that in winter you can sleep an hour later! (a 6am flight is just that bit easier to get to than a 5am flight!).
