"After a traumatic year and a life changing decision, I decided the time had come to become a little brave and venture on a holiday with my kids. Alone. I've never travelled without my ex-husband before and it seemed a bit daunting. Nevertheless, I went online and booked tickets to jhb from Durban online. Booking early I received a reasonable rate via kulula. Arriving at the airport the staff behind the check in counter were extremely helpful and helped to take the bags off the trolley. During the flight too the cabin crew were really friendly and kind and helped to settle the kids. A family members met us at O.R Thambo international and drove us to Mount Amanzi holiday resort near the Hartbeesport dam. There I spent the most relaxing week of my life. It was truly incredible. The setting and facilities and even the fellow guests everything made for a perfect holiday. My kids spent hours in the warm water pool while I lounged nearby with a book. It was safe and most amenities were free. Very child friendly and definitely worth it. Our flight back went smoothly as well and I'm glad I took the step to venture out of my comfort zone.
