Cruise news: Wonderful footage of the MSC Lirica cruising from Piraeus. We LOVE booking international cruises.

Don't ask why, just enjoy your ice-cream whilst it's on your plate. Today we've got a Mango Happy Day Special and tomorrow there's a Kulula flight special :)

Kulula flight special

Here's some of the details:

  • Flight prices are from R561 one way (our bet is that that's only on the Lanseria to Durban route).

  • The sale starts at 6am on the 17th April

  • The sale is for travel on Kulula flights from May to Aug 2013. Limited seats available. (this means it's not for every single date, from May to August, no doubt it'll exclude a lot, especially peak times)

  • It's an online sale, so you must check prices on the flight booking system.

16 April 2013. The Kulula flight special starts at 6am on the 17th April, the cheapest flight prices is R561, it's for travel from May to August 2013 (select flights only), there are limited seats available, and you can only take advantage of it online.

*From Lanseria Airport.

**BA Comair codeshare

So, set your alarm clocks SouthAfrica.TO'ers; and be ready at your computers - I have a feeling this Kulula flight special wont last long.

Isn't it just an awesome thing being recognised, for the work one does? We love it when people unearth bits of work we did ages ago. Somebody wrote to us telling how great they thought our video of a lady milling grain in Vilanculos was (in their market).

For flights from Johannesburg to Tunisia be sure to check the prices of Qatar Airways, who are often cheapest (there are no 1-stop flights).

the Telegraph's worst travel-related jobs (if you're doing any of them, you have our complete respect):

  • cabin crew member on a Friday night flight to Ibiza

  • toilet cleaner on an Indian train

  • room cleaner at a Japanese love hotel (don't ask)

  • cruise ship mortician, to look after those whose voyage is their last

  • lifeguard on Jeorse Park Beach in the US with its polluted water

  • polar bear trainer in a Moscow circus

  • window cleaner at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, the world's tallest hotel

  • tourism head in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

  • rail ticket inspector (anywhere!)

Email us a write-up of your trip & we'll give you a travel voucher (write more & share pictures for bigger vouchers):
Joan Larsen recommends a stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel to experience "a grand British colonial hotel befitting of the grand old days" - you'll enjoy its "gardens of frangipani & bougainvillea", the "chorus of frogs" and "immaculate lawns". There's the "best high tea on the continent" (ok, the Mount Nelson in Cape Town may disagree with that!), the "Edwardian rooms & lounges" & of course the sound of the falls & the sight of the mist rising up.
