The wheels of justice have turned full circle? Cathay Pacific flight CX748, on an Airbus A340-300, ingested a bird in its #1 engine shortly after takeoff from Johannesburg (to Hong Kong), dumped fuel & returned safely to O.R. Tambo International Airport.

This follows the hospital pass Cathay Pacific landed SAA & Singapore Airlines, who were both fined by South Africa's competition commission this week for price fixing, after Cathay Pacific spilled the beans on price fixing.

Some more 1time news:

The Purple shall rule! Message from London travellers on our Kulula page: "I live in London but take my parents; Father 100yrs old and Mother 90 yrs old; to Durban from Johannesburg in July for 2 weeks every year when I am in SA. Last year I dropped them at Lanseria and I drove down to Durban to meet them. There were 2 problems with the flights. My father was very upset at the way in which his wheelchair was loaded onto the plane and was very scared about the lack of safety involved for someone his age."
