My memory of Vilanculos Beach Lodge (in Mozambique) is that it has a fantastic setting right on the beach, but offers lousy food. The lodge has just ended its 2-year agreement with Rani Resorts, and will from now on conduct its own sales & reservations. If they can improve the food it'll be a fantastic destination.

The Purple shall rule! Message left on Velvet Sky airline page: "Just to let everyone know that you are wasting your time and money trying to fly with this company. My flight on the 23 February 2012 from Durban to Cape Town was initially delayed then cancelled (I was notified by an SMS, with no contact information, 2 hours before I flew). The company did not offer to arrange any flights or services for stranded passengers and I was left to book a flight through another company, which cost me R2000. I was promised reimbursement for my cancelled flight, I filled out their form and emailed to the dead office, twice, I have had no reply from them and cannot get through to their head office. Please think twice before booking flights with this company as you will most probably be screwed by them in the end."

The Bottom Line: "I share your sentiments and frustrations especially with regards to the CGT advantage that collective investmenet schemes have. I wish they would come with a structure for individuals where a "portfolio account" which can be treated as one capital item for tax purposes... Then there's the whole Reg 28 issue....my Allan Gray preservation fund would be doing so much better without these restrictions..."
