Four Seasons Hotels in South Africa

The Westcliff Hotel shut down for a year of renovations on the 30th June 2013. For those worryed about missing out their afternoon tea, the Four Seasons Hotels are going to be managing the Westcliff Hotel from the end of 2014, and renaming it the Four Seasons Hotel Westcliff Johannesburg. This is the first Four Seasons Hotel in South Africa and the 2nd on the African continent (they have a hotel in Tanzania - the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengenti).

“Africa’s economic growth, improved stability and ease of travel has made the continent increasingly attractive to luxury travellers and the Four Seasons group. Having a property in Johannesburg – the gateway to southern Africa – is essential as we explore opportunities for growth in South Africa and across the continent. With our recently established development office in Dubai, we plan to be much more active in Africa, pursuing both new build developments and conversion opportunities.” said the Four Seasons Vice President of Worldwide Development, Scott Woroch.
