Car rental unlimited mileage
So we were going on holiday in White River (near Nelspruit) from the 24th July 2009 until the 1st August 2009. We decided to fly from Cape Town to Johannesburg and hire a car, as it's cheaper than flying directly from Cape Town to Nelspruit (Airlink charges monopoly prices on the route). The question is who's offering the cheapest car rental deal (preferably with unlimited mileage) from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport.

2012-01-19 I need a car or van to hold 4 adults from Friday Nov. 2/2012 until Friday Nov. 16/2012. We are seniors and are arriving by train from Johannesburg at 4:16 on the 2nd of Nov. I assume that the train station is downtown so that would be best for our pickup. We fly back to Johannesburg on Friday Nov. 16th. Our flight leaves at 10:50am. We would drop the car at the airport. I assume you're picking the vehicle up in Durban, and dropping it off in Cape Town? Best price I could find was R1685 for a Chev Spark (R155/day + R600 one-way fee). However, that only gives 100km free per day (R1.17/km for more than that), so I suggest rather paying R1930 for unlimited mileage. |
First Car Rental is cheapest
First Car Rental are by far the cheapest, both for unlimited mileage and limited mileage deals (they're also cheapest for an additional driver), so it's a no brainer to book with them (book at First Car Rental).

Budget & Europcar do not offer unlimited mileage deals. Hertz claim to offer an unlimited mileage option on the website, but I couldn't find it. Avis Car Hire only offers unlimited mileage deals to international visitors. It cannot go without saying that the people manning the Hertz & Woodford Car Rental phones when I phoned, were not as competent as those from the other car rental agencies.
