School holiday flights |
26 Mar 2010 flights |
School Holidays starts on the 26th March (end 12 April) so higher prices are expected, but it's good to see Interlink and 1time coming in with relatively low prices from Johannesburg to Durban.
[btw, remember that from theĀ 1st May 2010, all flights to and from Durban International will operate out of King Shaka International Airport north of Durban - not a decision we agreed with]

The Roving cameraman caught a Virgin flight from London to Cape Town with the GMTV production crew and Emma Crosby the presenter (in London they had the pleasure of making use of the Virgin Clubhouse). Emma was booked Upper Class, but Mr Roving Cameraman had to suck it up in economy class (where he was seated near a group of Irish who were setting off to build houses in Cape Town's townships - trust the Irish to get my eyes smiling :). Twelve hours after taking off from London Heathrow, they landed in Cape Town. In Cape Town they had chosen a specific hotel as it was the only one which would guarantee to let them check-in early, but unfortuanately it let them down in this regard. Without much sleep, they set off for the Cape Town Waterfront to shoot footage of Emma Crosby with Table Mountain in the background.
