I'm surprised that flight prices to Durban on the 4th of December are still so low, given that the first test match between SA and England starts there on the 4th (but I suppose the barmy army may be following their team from Port Elizabeth). It's generally cheaper to avoid travelling on the same flights as the cricketers and their Barmy Army. Here are their dates of play, as well as dates of other events over the next couple of months:

Timbavati, Kruger & Blyde River Canyon
After spending a night in a backpackers' in Johannesburg, Lydia headed for the Kruger Park, where she saw elephant, rhino, hyenas, deer-like creatures (impala?) and lions (including lions mating). After leaving Kruger she went to stay at Timbavati. On their way back to Johannesburg they visited the Blyde River Canyon (the third largest Canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon & the Fish River Canyon), the Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God's Window.
