It's also interesting how dominant Mango Airlines has been on the Durban-Cape Town flight route, since Nationwide Airline went bankrupt. It's only British Airways who have been cheaper (who would have thought).

To celebrate Germany qualifying for the Fifa World Cup 2010, Lufthansa are running some specials for flights to Germany - Johannesburg to Berlin from R5700, Johanesburg to Hamburg from R5640, and more.
Maureen Maloney ventured forth on her trip from Cape Town to Cairo; going through the Namaqualand National Park in the Norther Cape (saw " tons of beautiful flowers"), Ai-Ais National Park in Namibia (hot spring turned out to be a "luke-warm pool"), Canon Lodge in Gondwanaland ("delicious meal"), Fish River Canyon ("very much like the Grand Canyon"), Giant’s Playground and Quiver tree forest near Keetmanshoop ("small town with not much going on"), Sesriem (from which you enter Soussusvlei - "most beautiful dunes in the world"), Swakopmund ("stayed at the Seagulls Cry campsite, but had some items stolen") and Windhoek. Good to see she's not just flying through the places, but actually seeing and enjoying them. Her next stop is Livingstone and Victoria Falls. Look at this stunning photo of Deadvlei in Namibia:
