Cheap last minute flights |
28 Aug 2009 flights |
It takes a lot of guts to wait until the day before you leave to book your flight, as you may not even get a flight. However, we suspect that Mango and 1time are struggling to fill their planes, as both airlines are offering cheaper flight prices for bookings which are made in the next day or two. Look at these one-way flight prices from Joburg to Durban:

After the ultra-cheap day (30 Jul) of the 1time special, their prices are back to normal, whilst BA British Airways is offering their cheapest JNB-DUR flight price since our 26 Apr 2008 Joburg - Durban flight survey, and SAA the cheapest price since our 7 Jun 2008 Joburg-Durban flight comparisons. And as usual on this route, Mango Airlines is cheapest!

R720 is the cheapest price we've seen for the Premier Classe train in a year. For Premier Classe bookings and enquiries contact Yvette Lawton at 079-477-6762 (ph) or yvettelawton@telkomsa.net or Natalie Gerber at 076-792-0883 (ph).
City to City's coach/bus price of R120 is their lowest since our 2 Feb 2008 JNB-DUR travel survey, and Translux's R180 is the lowest since 30 Aug 2008.
Elizabeth is spending a year in Cape Town, working for an NGO which supports women who fall pregnant and new mothers living with HIV. Respect, Sista. When her parents came to visit her she took them to Namibia, where they went to the dunes of the Sussosvlei. After mounting a dune they had the option of barrel rolling down, walking down, sliding, or swimming down (here's a photo of Elizabeth's Mom taking the swimming route - breast stroke apparently).
