Cape Town car rental prices
For the first time in our survey of Cape Town car rentals, Avis car hire is cheapest (Tempest car hire have been cheapest in every other survey of Cape Town car rentals). Thrifty car rental has dropped their prices by R50, from R386 to R336.

The price of a night at the Protea Hotel Breakwater Lodge (next to the V&A Waterfront) has dropped from R630 to R610, and the price of a night at the Southern Sun V&A Waterfront has increased by R94 to R940. It's good to see that Sun International's site is working again.
Plane refurbishment at Lanseria
Kees and Ilonka Barendse, who are residing in Uganda (Kampala) needed to get their Caravan (I'm talking about an aircraft) repainted and repaired. So they flew it to Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg, after which it was flown from Johannesburg to Lilongwe (Malawi) onward to Dodoma (Tanzania) and then onward to Uganda. Read about it here.
