When we last surveyed this route we said that we felt sorry for anybody having to fly this route because of the record flight prices from London to Johannesburg - and if you're still looking for a flight in December there's little doubt you're going to pay through your nose. The good news is that if want to fly from London to Johannesburg in January things are looking a lot better, with every airline having decreased their flight prices.

Flights from London to Johannesburg leave around the 10th January 2008 and flights from Johannesburg to London return around the 31st January 2008.

When we checked flight prices on the 27th August 2007 Emirates flights were cheapest, on the 11th September 2007 Air France flights were cheapest and now Etihad flights are the cheapest. The average flight price has fallen from £1208 (11 September survey) to £604.
