Craig & Jody's dream European vacation |
A while back we wrote about how we wanted to help Craig and Jody realise their dream trip to Europe. Good news - thanks to everybody's generosity they have raised half the money they need. They have asked us to assist them in finding the cheapest flights, their request was as follows: "We were hoping that you could give us assistance in finding the cheapest flight to London or Paris. We would ideally like to leave no earlier than Dec 12th and come back before the new year."
Our first thoughts were that that is an expensive time to fly, but nevertheless, let's try to find the cheapest flight around that time. We navigated to our webpage which shows the airlines operating flights from Cape Town to London to check the various airliners flights prices.

Most of the airlines prices were prohibitively expensive when looking at return flights on the 30th December (so we rather showed the cheaper flight prices on the 31st December) - except for Virgin Atlantic - which also happens to be the cheapest of the lot, so the flight from Cape Town to London is a no-brainer - go with Virgin Atlantic.

Flights from Cape Town to Paris are significantly more expensive than flights from Cape Town to London.
Overall summary
The cheapest option is to fly Virgin Atlantic from Cape Town to London. To get from London to Paris, you may want to take the National Express coach - it takes longer, but is only 34 pounds.
