Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport was built in 1964, and is located 42km outside of Windhoek. There are no public buses running to the International Airport. People would be well-advised to book a (private) airport shuttle in advance if they are not renting a car. Try Omahuka Transfers, but there are a number of companies who offer airport shuttles.
