June 2011	On 20 Jan 2011, TAP Portugal stated in a press release, that from June 2011 it is scrapping direct flights from Johannesburg to Lisbon, and in future its flights will be via Maputo, in cooperation with LAM.
1 Apr 2011	LAM begins flights from Maputo to Lisbon, timed so that passengers from Johannesburg can easily connect onto it. The flights run twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The flights will be in a Boeing B767-200 ER aircraft, owned by Euro Atlantic Airways, with capacity for 202 passengers, 150 in economy class and 52 in executive class.
