10 Aug 2008. On my Kulula.com flight from Cape Town to Joburg today, I had the opportunity to review their in-flight magazine (called Comic Life), and see what's change since I last reviewed it (see May Comic Life review & June Comic Life review...clearly I fly Kulula a lot!).
As usual Comic Life starts with some messages from Gidon & Erik, Kulula.com's joint CEO (somewhat a unique structure in South African corporate life to have two CEOs, and not enough is mentioned of this). This time they were taking credit for the fact that 1 in 10 South Africans have now flown in a plane (apparently this figure used to be 4%, and I guess it was 0% just over a hundred years ago, but I guess the Wright brothers deserve the credit for getting us off the ground).
First time I've seen the word Kulula lengthened to Kululians. Comic Life drew attention to some "Kululians" who have been with Kulula.com since the start - Nadine Demen (brand manager), Bev Normand (Call Centre), Lou-Anne Wiese, Vilora Knipe & Gidon Novick.
As usual Comic Life is jam-packed with advertising, both their sister companies and external companies.
