AirAsia X is a low-cost long-haul airline operating from Malaysia. With Firefly Airlines launching in April 2007, there is a mushrooming of options for Malaysian passengers.
Flights may commence as late as 2008. AirAsia X says that the main reason for the delay in launch is the lack of availability of long haul planes, caused by the A380's delay.
AirAsia X will fly routes longer than 4 hours to places in Australia, Asia and Europe, starting with the Chinese cities of Tianjin and Guangzhou and the United Kingdom.
