ACSA-lutley useless

25 January 2007.

I flew from Johannesburg to Cape Town today, on a British Airways flight (more about why I'm starting to prefer British Airways to South African Airways later).

We landed in Cape Town and what do you know....ACSA took 15 minutes to get the landing kit to the plane; apparently they were "surprised" at the plane landing early - at least that's what the pilot said (I wonder why he didn't just radio ahead and let them know he'd be early). It's not the first time it's happened but it's the first time I'm blogging about it.

Sounds like they've got the same operational skills as Alec Erwin and Eskom, who couldn't plan ahead for economic growth being a couple of percentage points ahead and South Africa has had to suffer rolling blackouts as a result of their incompetence.
