Mango Happy Day Sale to April
After 4 weeks of starting on Wednesdays, it looks like we're back to Tuesdays for Mango Happy Day Sales. This one starts at 9am today, the 11th March 2014, running until 9pm on the 12th March 2014 - a 36 hour sale.
For the first time in ages all of the airfares are the same as in last week's happy day sale. This is encouraging to see, as flight prices have been on the rise as a result of the depreciation of the Rand. Hopefully this signals a steadying of airfares at current levels.

The bottom line: Cathay Pacific flight hits birds : On Sunday Cathay Pacific flight CX748 hit a flock of birds, with engines number 3 and 4 "swallowing" a few. Engine number 3 was turned off and the plane returned safely to JNB 90 minutes after taking off.
