Travel to FNB Whisky Live Festival

The FNB Whisky Live Festival takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 7th to the 9th of November 2012. Whiskies from all over the world will be showcased and visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to taste and experience a variety of these.
Workshops will be held, where whisky lovers can learn about the whisky distilling process of each variety of whisky. The festival will appeal to whisky connoisseurs as well as the first time whisky drinker. Tickets are on sale from R195 per person, including 12 whisky tasting vouchers, a tasting glass, a copy of the SA Whisky Handbook 2013, a bottle of water, a R15 discount voucher for purchases as well as a R10 food voucher.
Travelling to the festival
When we checked, Mango offered the cheapest airfares from Cape Town to Johannesburg's Lanseria Airport at R695 for a one way flight (prices will change). Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train offered the cheapest option for travel between the two cities. Car Trawler showed the best rates for car rental in Johannesburg for the weekend of the festival. Please note that all prices may change.

We priced the cost of renting a car from OR Tambo International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 9th of November 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 11th of November 2012. The Purple shall rule! Paula flew from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth to visit Kichaka Game Reserve: "It took about 90 minutes to get from Port Elizabeth to Kichaka. Just enough to make you feel like you are out in the wilderness (probably because you are). What a magnificent place, really words cannot describe the beauty, the people, and the wildlife, just spectacular."
