"Most governments believe a national carrier is important, apparently up there with having a flag & a national currency. But it often ends up protecting ineffeciencies and jobs rather than providing a decent service." Greg Mills, Sunday Times

We specialise in flights to //Hui !Gaeb (Cape Town's proposed new name, which means "where the clouds gather", in Khoisan).

The Purple shall rule! "Velvet sky are now officially liquidated. That leaves BA/comair and SAExpress only on the PLZ/DBN route. The costs now are ridiculous. I have two sons at Rhodes University in Grahamstown and to fly them home for the holidays costs a minimum of R2550 each multiply that four times a year.and next year my youngest goes to Rhodes as well. I really want to see my sons in the holidays as i miss them so much. I have written to the airlines to ask if they could introduce a student rate and the answer is no. Kulula are "allocated a few cheap seats " on this route but they are snapped up. There are so many students at Rhodes that live in Durban you would think the airlines could make some sort of arrangement, otherwise it's a 14hr nightmare of a bus trip. It's the most dangerous road in the country between Kokstad and Mthata. The rest of the roads are not so good either. I really despair at the transport situation in SA."
